How to Initiate Your Motor Insurance Claim

To intimate your claim, you must have the supporting documentation listed below. To notify your claim online, please ensure that all the information necessary is complete and accurate in the intimation form.

How to Process

What to Do Immediately After an Accident

Stay safe, assess the situation, and follow these essential steps to ensure your claim is processed quickly and correctly.

  • Ensure Safety & Move Vehicles off the Road

    Unless creating a major traffic hazard. Turn on your hazard lights.

  • Determine Accident Severity

    For Minor Accidents: If both parties agree on who is at fault and there are no injuries or public property damage, move the vehicles off the road and fill out the Minor Road Traffic Accident (MRTA) form and Filled online Intimation Form.
    For Major Accidents: If there are injuries, severe damage, or a dispute over fault, call 999 immediately and wait for the ROP to arrive and issue an official accident report.

  • Document the Scene

    Take clear photos of both vehicles, the license plates, road conditions, and any visible damage before leaving the scene.

  • Notify Us

    Report your claim to our Muscat branch within 48 hours. An official ROP report or a signed MRTA form is strictly mandatory to process any motor claim in Oman.
